Understanding Population Displacement in Ukraine. Discussing research’s results in Chatham House

The Ukrainian Forum of Chatham House organized a round table on the outcomes of population displacement in Ukraine on 6th November 2017.  The panel of experts included Ambassador John E. Herbst, Director of Dinu Patriciu Eurasia Center of the Atlantic Council, Melinda Haring, Editor of Atlantic Council’s Ukraine Alert, who presented their policy report. Ben Robinson talked about everyday experiences of IDPs, via his photo project, and Irina Kuznetsova presented the preliminary results of the AHRC funded research on ‘Ukraine’s hidden tragedy’. In her talk she focused on the triple loss of IDPs: home, health and political rights. The following round table discussion focused on how to improve the living conditions of IDPs and the response of civil society to the IDP crisis.
